The Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI) has partnered with CXC to recognise the Most Outstanding Candidate in Agricultural Science in the region.

The winner of the award in 2017 is Eion Jotis of New Amsterdam Multilateral School in Guyana. Eion achieved Grade I in Agricultural Science (Double Award) with all A profiles. He also achieved Grade I in Biology, Caribbean History, Chemistry, English A, Mathematics, Physics, Electronic Document Preparation and Management, Human and Social Biology and Grade II English B, Geography and Social Studies.
