Effective September 2012, CXC discontinued its contract with Ian Randle Publishers for the reproduction and distribution of CSEC® and CAPE® syllabuses (with sample examination questions and mark schemes) and past examination question papers. The purpose of the agreement was to enable access of these materials by candidates in all CXC Participating Territories. However, to ensure availability of these materials to the market, IRP will continue to publish and distribute the syllabuses and past question papers until the end of the third quarter of 2013.

Tenders were invited from commercial publishing houses in November 2012 and it is anticipated that a new agreement will be negotiated for commencement during the first quarter of 2013. Online self-publishing is also being explored.
