Initiatives ranged from courses in sound technology and archives conferences to technical workshops in measurement and conferences on measurement and leadership development. Key activities included the American Educational Research Association (AERA) conference in San Francisco attended by Mrs Charlotte Lewis and Ms Nordia Weekes; the European Association of Test Publishers (E-ATP) conference in St. Julian’s, Malta, attended by Mrs Cyndra Ramsundar and Mrs Brendalee Cato; the International Association for Educational Assessment (IAEA) conference in Tel-Aviv, Israel, attended by Dr Didacus Jules and Dr Anthony Haynes; the American Society of Administrative Professionals (ASAP) conference in Las Vegas attended by Ms Amril Gittens and Mrs Coreen Walkes-Sealy; the American Records Management Association (ARMA) conference in Las Vegas attended by Ms Kath-Ema Armstrong; the PMO Symposium in Coronado, San Diego, attended by Mrs Sandra Thompson; additionally the Harvard Business School Leadership programme sponsored for SAR(ISD) Rodney Payne. The HR Division is streamlining the learning and development budgeting and approval process to ensure even tighter alignment to the strategic thrust of the organisation.
