Visual Arts teachers in St Lucia are more confident in delivering the CSEC Visual Arts syllabus. This after they completed a two-day workshop on 26 and 27 April.
“I feel better equipped with the necessary knowledge needed to produce better results. I really appreciate it,” one teacher noted on the evaluation form. “This is one of the best workshops ever. The presenter and the information were excellent and will make a difference in the approach to assisting the students.”
The workshop was hosted at the Ministry of Education, Human Resource Development and Labour Conference Room and facilitated by Dr Phyllis Hill, CXC resource person.
Twenty-four persons participated in the workshop including two officers from the Ministry of Education and one teacher from the Montserrat Secondary School who travelled to St Lucia for the event.
This is an excellent gesture. I am confident that this intervention will bring good fruit. It would also be a good idea if a network of some sort could be established to strengthen the those among us who are fledgling. Well done Dr. Hill.
