On the issue of CAPE Integrated Mathematics, the Registrar explained that the Sub-Committee of the Schools Examinations Committee (SUBSEC) approved the inclusion of Integrated Mathematics as a compulsory Unit for the CXC Associate Degree in June 2015.
This decision was taken to a general education course in mathematics to the CXC Associate Degree programme. This change to the CXC Associate Degrees took effect from the registration period September 2015 onwards, and therefore only affects candidates who are registering for Associate Degrees commencing in September 2015. The first Associate Degrees including the new subject Integrated Mathematics will be issued in 2017.
Candidates who are pursuing the Associate Degree in Mathematics are exempted from Integrated Mathematics as a compulsory Unit.
