Mandela Patrick, the recently announced 2018 Commonwealth Caribbean Rhodes Scholar dropped in at CXC Headquarters in Barbados on Friday 23 November. Mandela, a 2014 CAPE Regional Top Awardee for Mathematics and ICT is currently a student at Harvard University and plans to pursue master’s degrees in Computer Science and Statistics at Oxford University when he takes up his Rhodes Scholarship next August.

While at CXC, Mandela called on Registrar, Glenroy Cumberbatch and other members of CXC staff. The Registrar welcomed Mandela to CXC Headquarters and expressed CXC pride in seeing another regional top awardee winning the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship.

He also made an appearance on CXC’s Let’s Talk social media television programme.
